Winter Training Tips
Today's agenda:1. Beg for food
2. Pee on the side of Lobo
3. Bark at Peter Sarsgaard & baby Ramona
4. Pee on those kiddie rides outside of Key Food
5. Bark at babies wearing funny hats in strollers
6. Eat bowl of brown triangles
7. Nap
8. Wait for David by the door
9. Nap some more
10. Play with stuffed meercat
Today's winter training tip: when you stop at that place on 9W for coffee and a snack, don't eat anything that's bigger than your head.

Best of 2007: Columbus Day Weekend
originally posted 10.9.07

… I had to guard the cooler, which is really a full-time job.

This may or may not be Tyler Hamilton’s Audi (that he won for breaking the Mountain Washington Hill Climb in 2006).

After the race we all went to Wendy’s. I can’t remember what Jared was talking about.
I slept the entire drive back to Brooklyn!
This past weekend was quite exciting. We went to TWO bike races, a pumpkin patch/apple orchard, and to see my Grandma and Grandpa. Plus, the Red Sox won! Here are some photos from the weekend:
WTF is this nonsense?

As you can see from this sign, TECHNICALLY I was not allowed in to watch the Tour De Parc on Saturday. But once I spoke with the park (or rather “parc”) ranger and explained to him who I was, it was all good.

This is Rob - he won the “Pizza Preme” at this race! I was going to help him pin his number on, but I don’t have thumbs. Plus…

Again, WTF?!

This is a photo from the start of the Pro/1/2/3 race at the Jamestown Classic on Monday. I have no idea who any of these guys are. I can say that Brett was somewhere towards the back though, apparently waiting for a turtle to cross the road.

This is me checking out some nice looking boats in the Jamestown harbor.

This is me and David in the car after the race. David usually takes his pants off in the car. I never wear pants, regardless of where I am.

Best of 2007: Team Time Trial
originally posted 9.5.07

Today the guys finished stage 2 of the Vuelta Nicagarua - the Team Time Trial. I’m not exactly sure what a Team Time Trial is, but I do know it includes cool action words like “draft” and “sit in”, and that sometimes they wear cool looking skinsuits and helmets.
So while I was watching “Dr. Phil” this afternoon (rerun) I was imagining who I would want on my fantasy Team Time Trial team. Here’s what I came up with:
TORI SPELLING. She might be too busy with her reality show at the Bed & Breakfast, but as you can see she already knows how to ride a bike and this would be a great way for her to lose the baby weight.

DARIA MORGENDORFFER. Mom says if she were a cartoon character, she’d probably be Daria. So she’s someone I want on my team.
BRET & JEMAINE FROM FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS. They ride bikes all the time on the show, so I’m sure they could handle it. Plus, maybe they’ll write a song about me.

BUTTERS. If you’ve ever watched “South Park” you know that Butters has a can-do attitude despite consistently being ridiculed and abused by his friends and family. So he knows all about SUFFERING. Which is super important in cycling, according to David.

Best of 2007: The R Train
originally posted 8.4.07
David takes the R train to and from work most of the time. Sometimes I go wait for him at the exit so we can walk home together. And sometimes when I’m waiting I chat up the ladies who are coming out of the subway.

Why? Because that’s how I woof! Barkley

Best of 2007: Super Week

David got back from Super Week late last night. I had a feeling last night was going to be the night so I slept by the door. As soon as he arrived I immediately got out a bunch of toys for us to play with, but he was tired so we decided to go straight to bed.
David, Jared, and Eugene had a great time in Wisconsin staying with their host family. Here are some photos from the trip.

We just got back from Elite Nationals in Seven Springs, PA - all that excitement really tired me out. Here are some photos from the trip:

Here’s me and David driving in the car. David is driving, I’m just supervising.
This is a photo of some of the Seven Springs resort. It’s kinda like that place Kellerman’s from the movie “Dirty Dancing”. Nobody puts Baby in a corner!
Here I am in the parking lot. You can’t tell from this photo, but I’m making eyes at the ladies from Target Training!
Here’s me giving David a good luck shake and some last minute racing tips.
